Recently, we
received a group of fifth-generation Land Rover Discovery models imaginary
figure from the foreign media, it is learned, the car will be officially
launched in the second half 2016.
Although
previously we have exposure the fifth generation Discovery test spy photos, but
the test car tight camouflage coating makes it difficult to see the details of
the new car's appearance, and the fifth generation Discovery imaginary figure
drawn by foreign media may be reveals the new car future design highlights for
us. From the imaginary figure can see, the new car overall shape continues the
Land Rover Discovery Vision concept car design, the front headlights inside into
LED light band structure, front bumper and front fog lamps are have Range Rover
Aurora and Discovery God row design element.
From the car body
side can see, the new car body and roof were used green and white two color
coating, the A-pillar, B pillar and D-pillar blackened also create a floating
roof effect. In addition, the car taillight group remains the same design style
with headlamps, the overall feeling very sharp.
It is reported
that the fifth generation Discovery or will use the same all-aluminum body
structure with Range Rover, and such as "transparent engine cover"
concept technology is also expected to be applied. In power, the new car will
powered by Ingenium series engines, is expected to provide 2.0T and V6 engine
options, and is expected to launch hybrid version model, transmission will
match the 8-speed automatic gearbox.
In test, the fifth
generation Discovery will still use Mongoose JLR Interface to diagnosis all the system. Mongoose JLR
Interface for Jaguar Land Rover Interface is fully supported for dealer level diagnostics
& module programming. It supports Land Rover and Jaguar from 2005 to now
with OEM level diagnosis & module programming.
