The new Citroen Elysee facelift 6AT will be listed in early January 2016

Recently, we learned that the new Citroen Elysee will be officially listed in early January 2016. It is reported that the new model will abandon the 4-speed automatic gearbox powered by the current models, replaced by a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

As a small facelift model, the new Elysee in body appearance, interior design an other parts is expected not be much change. In configuration, the new car will be equipped with central control LCD screen,  PM2.5 purifiers system, electric sunroof, parking radar, reverse image, the latest version ESC vehicle stability systems and so on. But about the detail configuration and change, there is no exact information, we will continue to focus.

In the power section, the new Elysee is expected to continue to equipped with 1.6L engine, the engine's maximum power of 117 horsepower and peak torque of 150 Nm. In the transmission system, the current model is equipped with 5-speed manual gearbox and 4-speed automatic gearbox. But the new car model may be will match with 5-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

In test, the new Citroen Elysee can still use Lexia 3 with the latest diagbox 7.76 software to diagnosis all the system. The Lexia 3 PP2000 XS Evolution diagnostic tool is with full chips and brand new relays compatible works on both Citroen and Peugeot cars from 1995,supports read identification, read fault codes, clear fault codes, auto-scan etc.

A 2004 Peugeot 307 2.0 with mileage of about 180,000 km, matching AL4 type electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission. This car a month ago had a sense of frustration when lifting gear, transmission fault indicator occasionally lit, after lighting the car driving difficult (should be locked third speed's reason). Because the failure phenomenon is not frequent, so there is no timely maintenance. Continue to use for some time, in recent days when driving fault phenomena become frequent.

Firstly, maintenance staff use lexia 3 pp2000 to diagnose the car control system, in the automatic transmission control system detects the fault code meaning of hydraulic solenoid pressure regulator valve failure. Maintenance staff first check the oil level and oil quality of transmission oil, found oil has gone bad, and accompanied by burning smell, indicating transmission internal friction elements have been burned. Given the burning extent of the automatic transmission, maintenance staff replaced the transmission overhaul package (including friction plates), the main hydraulic solenoid valves, clutch pistons and brake band and other damage accessories, renovation the torque converter and cleaning valve body.

After the work is completed, the transmission assembled in accordance with standard processes. Again use lexia 3 diagnose the car control system, no fault code, test the car, everything is normal, troubleshooting.
